Art in Action

Posted on Sunday 2nd August, 2015

Last week I was lucky enough to take part and demonstrate in the most amazing arts festival ever! ‘Art in Action‘ is based in the breathtakingly beautiful grounds of Waterperry gardens in Oxfordshire and I can honestly say it was simply an absolute pleasure! The idea behind the show is that visitors can come join the fun and see artists and craftspeople live at work and learn a whole variety of new skills either from watching and chatting to the demonstrators, or by taking part in the huge selection of workshops and live classes that are available. There are also a whole host of yummy food and drink stalls, live music, dance. Pretty much the most perfect week possible! I demonstrated with the wonderful Danny Deeptown and had an absolute ball! We dusted off the tent and decided to camp all week in the Artists campsite and after weeks of checking the weather (hourly) ended up with the most gorgeous sunny week and met so many lovely like-minded creative people, chatting and swopping crafty secrets and tips. I also got to see the work of so many talented artists and left super-excited on an absolute high, brimming with inspiration! Our sincere thanks to all the organisers and volunteers for looking after us so well and letting us join you in such a brilliant week….. Keeping everything crossed to get invited back next year!!! I thoroughly recommend a visit in 2016.
